Interview with John Sherner, an Army veteran and nurse, concerning his experiences as an Army nurse in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970. Sherner discusses his assignment to the 24th Evacuation Hospital in Long Binh, the treatment of endemic diseases, his assignment to the emergency room, triaging of patients, living conditions, drug addicts, battle casualties, medical treatment of civilians, his social life, his friendships, and the lasting effects of the Vietnam experience.
